Erzsebet Bukodi joined CLS as a member of staff in 2007. She is working on a project investigating the occupational careers of women and men from the 1946, 1958 and 1970 cohorts.

Erzsebet has a D.Phil. in Sociology from Corvinus University of Economics, Budapest. Before joining CLS, she was a Max Weber Post-doctoral Fellow at European University Institute, Florence. Previously she worked as a senior researcher in the Department of Sociology, Bamberg University and was head of section of Social Stratification in the Department of Social Statistics of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, Budapest. 

Her research interests involve educational inequalities, trends in intergenerational and intragenerational mobility, different aspects of life-course analysis and gender differences in the labor market as well as the relationship between social and cultural stratification.

Research Projects:

Career and partnership trajectories: How are they connected for women and men?  (An ESRC Mid-Career Fellowship project).

Erzsebet is working on a GeNet research project investigating the occupational careers of women and men from the 1946, 1958 and 1970 cohorts.

Postgraduate Research:

Erzsebet's research interests involve educational inequalities, trends in intergenerational mobility, different aspects of life-course analysis and gender differences in the labour market.
