Published work

There have been many published journal articles, books, chapters, reports or conference presentations based on data from the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS). The following resources can help you find what material has been published on different topics.

MCS books

CLS have published two books on the Millenium Cohort Study:

  • Children of the 21st century: From birth to nine months and
  • Children of the 21st century: The first five years

Four descriptive reports available to download from this page and two reports on sub-studies into Assisted Fertility and Health Visitors.

CLS publications search

The CLS bibliography lists many published works based on the cohort studies. For published material based specifically on the MCS, type ‘MCS’ in the box marked ‘Search Study’.

UK Data Service website

The UK Data Service website shows which projects have used MCS data downloaded from the data archive since 2003.

CLS working papers

Several working papers drawing on MCS data can be downloaded from the working papers section of the CLS online library.
