• Trajectories and transitions in the cognitive and educational development of disabled children and young people: Enhancing our understanding of disabled children’s early cognitive development and subsequent educational transitions.
• Pathways from environmental risk to children’s psychological maladjustment and resilience: Testing how neighbourhood, family poverty and other adverse circumstances are related to children’s wellbeing.
• Using health record linkage in the MCS to investigate childhood obesity, asthma and infections: Obtaining information about cohort members' use of hospital services as either inpatients or outpatients.
• The effect and value of judicial review in England and Wales: Exploring judicial review from the perspectives of claimants and lawyers.
• Life History & Healthy Ageing: Strand of the Healthy Ageing across the Life Course (HALCyon) programme.
• 500 families: Migration histories of Turks in Europe (LineUp): This project explores Turkish migration to Europe and the multi-generational transmission of cultural and economic resources and values.
• Multiple risk behaviours among parents with dependent children: Exploring patterns of multiple health risks among families with children.
• National Identity: How the strength of national identity differs across key characteristics of cohort members.
• NCRM Network for Methodological Innovation in Web Surveys for the General Population: This network shares knowledge and stimulates discussion around the potential and hazards of web-based surveys.
• Causes and Consequences of Socio-Cultural Integration Processes among New Immigrants in Europe (SCIP): Investigating the experiences of new immigrants from Poland, Pakistan and Turkey in the UK, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands.
• Predicting and preventing non-response in cohort studies: Addressing problems of attrition.
• NOVELLA: Narratives of Varied Everyday Lives and Linked Approaches: Analysing narratives in relation to three areas of family life.
• Determinants of physical activity in the MCS: Using activity monitors to explore physical acitivity among children.
• Six-day sample study: Scotland in Miniature: This study aims to use UK and Scottish national databases to trace members of the 6-Day Sample, to link with other records of health and vital life events.
• Social Participation and Identity: Combining quantitative longitudinal data with a qualitative investigation of a sub-sample of the 1958 cohort study.
