Now we are 50

CLS published ‘Now we are Fifty’ in March 2008 to mark cohort members’ 50th birthday. The report provides a useful overview of half a century of social change in Britain, and explains how the findings from the NCDS have helped to shape decision making in policy areas such as education, employment, housing and health.

UK Data Service website

The UK Data Service website shows which projects have used NCDS data downloaded from the data archive since 2004.

CLS working papers

There have been five series of working papers based on NCDS and covering various topics. They can be downloaded from the working papers section of the CLS online library.

Tell us about your research

We ask researchers to contact us whenever they publish research using the cohort data. With up-to-date records, we can help other researchers avoid duplication and also demonstrate to funders how useful the data is to the research community.
