Strategic Advisory Board

CLS is overseen by a Strategic Advisory Board (SAB), appointed by the Economic and Social Research Council.   It is responsible for providing assurance and high level strategic advice to the funders (ESRC, MRC, Wellcome Trust and the MCS Funders Group) and to the Centre for Longitudinal Studies Scientific Leadership Team to ensure that the cohort studies led by the Centre are developed, managed and maintained in a manner that maximises their benefit as long-term scientific resources of importance both nationally and internationally, while protecting participants’ interests. The SAB meets twice a year.  The Chair of the SAB is currently Richard Bartholomew.

Management Liaison Meetings

Liaison meetings between the CLS Director, and ESRC are held twice a year. Management Liaison Meetings provide an opportunity to review progress against objectives and discuss and decide on any issues arising.
