Short Courses

Experimental and quasi-experimental design

15th January 2014 to 16th January 2014

Most courses run from 10.00 to 17.00 each day, although some may start at 9.30 or 9.45.

This two-day course aims to develop a better understanding of experimental and quasi-experimental methods amongst students. This will equip students to understand the main elements of carrying out a randomised control trial, to understand the principles on which the main types of quasi-experimental design are based, to interpret the outcome and results of experimental and quasi-experimental research and its quality and to know when it is appropriate to use such research designs in government research.
